Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service on a large life sciences manufacturing campus.

You will lead cost planning, change management, and negotiations across multiple project phases, guiding design teams and contractors while maintaining robust reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or pursuing.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects.
• Experience in life sciences/manufacturing or large capital construction.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and participate with the design services team and GC in developing cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist GC to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates with status information for owner/manager.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for discussions with suppliers.
• Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects.
