Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Houston seeks an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on complex Life Sciences construction projects. You will act as the primary client interface, delivering value‑added cost control, budgets and cost plans across manufacturing, laboratory and R&D facilities.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cost management within construction, and is either RICS accredited or working toward it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation is preferred or you are working toward it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, high‑complexity projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including presenting the final cost plan.
• Review with design services and GC in cost estimates development.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy with the GC.
• Prepare cost estimates updates and executive summaries.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information from NPA, subs, and A/Es.
