Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support complex Life Sciences construction projects. You will act as the key client interface, delivering value-added cost management across manufacturing, laboratory, and R&D capital programs.

The ideal candidate will lead cost management efforts, negotiate change orders, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while upholding the firm’s values and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or in progress.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects.
• Knowledge of procurement, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning and present final cost plans.
• Review estimates with design teams and general contractors.
• Reconcile changes and ensure contractor data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimates updates and executive summaries.
