Job summary

Decima International is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost control across infrastructure, technology, and construction projects. This client-facing role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on forecasting and reporting accuracy.

You will mentor regional cost control teams, oversee change orders, budgets, and earned value, coordinating with senior stakeholders across multiple sites in the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years cost control or cost engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Experience in hyperscale data centers or large-scale, mission-critical projects.
• Extensive experience using cost management software and tools such as SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced knowledge of cost management principles: forecasting, variance analysis, change management, and project financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale project budgets and resolving complex cost discrepancies.
• Strong ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide oversight of regional/project cost control functions across multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain robust cost control systems, reports, forecasts, and change procedures.
• Coordinate with regional managers, engineers, and finance to monitor variances and guide corrective actions.
• Present monthly and quarterly cost performance reports to senior leadership (EVA, variances, trends).
• Oversee tracking of performance against budgets and schedules across sites, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and develop junior cost control personnel within the region.
