Job summary

QTS Data Centers seeks a Senior Cost Control Manager to lead cost control for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in the United States. You will oversee budgets, change orders, and forecasting, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and consultants to ensure financial discipline and on-time project delivery.

The role requires a decade of cost-control or project-management experience, strong knowledge of contracts, and proficiency with industry software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in cost control, construction, or project management, with senior/leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of construction contracts, change management, and budget controls.
• Proficient in financial and project management software (Workday, e-Builder, Procore, ACC).
• Ability to forecast, analyze costs, and present actionable insights to executives.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: mentor onsite cost team and ensure cost-control discipline.
• Project Budget Oversight: create/validate budgets for large-scale projects and track performance.
• Contract & Change Order Management: review contracts, evaluate and approve changes with proper documentation.
• Cost Analysis & Forecasting: analyze forecasts, cash flows, payments, and variances.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: oversee procurement to align with budgets and terms.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication: liaison with teams, contractors, and finance.
• Financial Reporting & Documentation: prepare cost reports, cash flow analyses, and monthly reviews.
• Risk Management & Compliance: identify risks and ensure regulatory and policy adherence.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: train others and share best practices.
• Third-Party Oversight: supervise cost auditing and external consultants.
