Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Cost Manager for its North American Data Center Infrastructure project controls team. You will own budgets, commitments, actuals, forecasts, and change management across multi-site data center programs.

Responsibilities include budget development, cost tracking, monthly reporting, contingency oversight, and close-out. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of cost management on large-scale projects, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with PM and ERP systems.

Qualifications

7+ years of cost management on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
Experience preparing cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections for $100M+ projects.
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel ability.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent).
Understanding of contracts (lump sum, GMP, cost-plus) and change order evaluation.

Responsibilities

Budget development: Build and maintain project budgets and cost breakdown structures.
Cost tracking: Monitor commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts monthly.
Forecasting: Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts with variance analysis and cash flow projections.
Change management: Maintain trend/change logs and evaluate change orders for merit and entitlement.
Payment applications: Review and validate contractor/vendor payments.
Procurement support: Assist bid leveling, cost comparisons for major packages.
Contingency management: Track contingency drawdown and flag cost risks/opportunities.
Estimating input: Provide feedback to improve future estimates and benchmarks.
Close-out: Support commercial close-out, final accounts, and capitalization docs.
