Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to act as the key client interface on a major hyperscale data center project. You will lead cost management efforts, develop cost plans, and work closely with design teams, general contractors, and stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.

The role requires strong communication, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field.
• 5–7 years in cost management on construction projects.
• Experience with data center or mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes and value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle.
• Develop cost plans and provide cost planning to include final cost plan.
• Review cost estimates with design teams and general contractor.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy for cost reports.
• Prepare cost estimates updates and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Coordinate cost information from sub-contractors and vendors.
• Drive cost impact analysis and VE sessions with stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior cost management staff.
• Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Produce monthly cost reports and ensure timely final accounts.
