Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead cost accounting, budgeting, and profitability analysis across its fast-moving healthcare platform. You will design scalable cost allocation, model driver-based P&L impacts, and support monthly closes with rigorous variance analysis and management reporting.

The role requires strong communication with non-finance teams and the ability to drive standardization and automation in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Proven cost accounting experience including allocation methodology and cost center design.
• Experience in unit cost or product-level costing and defensible number-building.
• Core FP&A skills: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced financial modeling with large data sets, AI and BI tooling.
• Ability to explain results clearly to non-finance stakeholders and challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Direct cost accounting policies, controls, and reporting.
• Architect and scale cost accounting framework across business segments.
• Deliver profitability analysis to guide margin optimization.
• Support intercompany cost allocation and transfer pricing reporting.
• Build driver-based models linking membership growth, staffing, and vendor spend to P&L and cash.
• Assist monthly close for cost with accruals, allocations, variance analysis, and management packs.
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses for investments and expansion.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize policy, process, and controls with emphasis on tech and self-service tools.
• Support market, network, and clinical teams with education and supplemental reporting.
• Own responses to audits and regulatory inquiries.
