Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) is seeking a Cost Control Manager in Irving, TX to lead construction budgeting from inception to completion. You will validate change orders, manage cost forecasts, and collaborate with project management, vendors, and finance to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in construction contracts, change management, and proficient use of Workday, Procore, and other PM software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge in construction contract documents and change management.
• Proficiency in financial and project management software (Workday, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Seven or more years of experience in construction or project management.
• Strong collaboration skills, analytical, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine contract documents to ensure compliance with contract and laws.
• Evaluate change orders and recommendations for buyout savings.
• Review pay applications, align schedule of values with contract, verify docs.
• Initiate purchase orders and ensure invoice terms.
• Obtain monthly cash flow projections and reconcile with actuals.
• Evaluate change order events and substantiate claims.
• Maintain log of potential change orders and manage approval workflow.
• Support monthly loan draw process with required docs.
• Conduct weekly and biweekly reviews with PMs, external managers, and consultants.
• Review change order status and ensure timelines.
• Manage third party change management or cost auditing teams.
• Mentor growth of internal Cost Engineers.
