Job summary

Acuity International seeks a Senior Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will manage project schedules, coordinate with engineers and discipline leaders, and guide staff development while upholding the company mission and values.

You will oversee cost data development, reporting, and budget preparation across projects, proposals, and contracts, while applying cost control techniques and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Possess Certified Cost Professional certification (CCP, CEP, CPE) from AACE International or similar.
• Knowledge of capital cost and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction systems, and startup processes.
• Proficiency in multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve cost problems creatively.
• Familiarity with financial reporting systems and controller codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analysis.
• Prepare cost data for projects, proposals and negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management.
• Define scope definitions with Engineering for estimates.
• Develop quantities takeoffs and verify them.
• Develop and apply unit rates to quantities.
• Prepare budgets per standards and procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate cost reports.
• Collect and classify cost data.
• Perform data analysis and support project managers.
