Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to manage inventory movements and improve inventory processes. Primary duties include timely processing of inventory transactions, analyzing variances, and generating management reports to support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience with 3-5 years in inventory and cost accounting.
• Proven experience as Inventory Cost Accountant or similar role.
• Understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and financial software, esp. Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process daily inventory transactions in the ERP system and related tools.
• Perform stock count analysis and reporting; track frequency and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end closing including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operations to improve inventory control processes.
• Conduct audits to ensure control effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support cycle counts, periodic audits, and annual physical inventories.
• Assist external audits by providing documentation and access to records.
