Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies seeks an experienced Cost Accountant to support financial reporting, cost and margin analyses, and month-end close. You will manage journal entries, inventory valuation, and balance sheet integrity while coordinating with operations to capture project costs and forecast impacts.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, 7+ years of cost accounting experience (masters +5 years ok), and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 7+ years cost accounting experience; Master's with 5+ years acceptable.
• ERP experience to support manufacturing and financial processes.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and advanced formulas.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to determine costs of business activity such as inventory and labor costs.
• Monitors physical inventories and cycle count program, providing support.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for location P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Reconcile inventories and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Assist in month-end close of General Ledger for cost, manufacturing, and inventory.
• Collaborate with operations on project cost tracking and forecasts.
• Support process improvements and special financial analyses as needed.
• Provide audit support and maintain documentation per internal controls.
