Job summary

The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. seeks an Administrative Captain to supervise correctional personnel and supervise staff to maintain order and security within the facility. Responsibilities include policy implementation and incident response to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires directing custody operations, training, and performance reviews while upholding humane treatment and compliance with regulations in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet the qualifications as an Officer.
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent; college courses desirable.
• At least three years in a correctional setting with supervisory responsibility.
• Able to interact with a variety of personalities; emotionally stable and empathetic.
• Knowledge of corrections laws and applicable court orders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise correctional personnel and maintain order.
• Develop and implement custody, security, and treatment procedures.
• Respond to major incidents and provide appropriate support.
• Direct work of staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintain records, daily logs, and reports.
• Ensure facility compliance with policies and procedures.
