The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Captain to supervise correctional personnel and manage detainee/inmate security and treatment operations. The role involves directing staff, ensuring adherence to procedures, and handling emergencies with independent judgment.

Responsibilities include policy development, staff training, disciplinary actions, and cross-training across areas. This position supports facility goals while maintaining safety and order within the institution.

Qualifications

• Must meet the qualifications as an Officer.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a correctional setting, with supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work of other employees, including hiring, evaluating, training, promoting and disciplinary actions.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures and regulations for custody, security and/or treatment of detainees/inmates.
• Responds to major unusual occurrences and facilitates appropriate assistance to detainees/inmates.
• Reviews disciplinary matters concerning staff and detainees and ensures staff effectiveness through inspections.
• Directs work flow, provides training and performs inspections of detainee/inmate staff; may supervise in other areas as needed.
• Prepares records and reports; maintains daily logs; ensures compliance with rules and procedures.
