Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced workout professional to restructure large and complex Corporate and Commercial loans. You will independently analyze loans and determine strategies to secure repayment, negotiate agreements, and coordinate workout plans with lenders and stakeholders.

The role includes presenting plans to Senior Management, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining knowledge of insolvency and creditor remedies. A senior, broad industry background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (Master's preferred).
• Ten to fifteen years of workout experience with middle market and large corporate loans.
• Experience with corporate and commercial loan environments; CRE expertise is a plus.
• Prior experience with syndicated credits and acting as Agent for syndicated credits is favorable.
• Extensive knowledge of lending, collections, and credit policy/procedure.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Restructures large and complex corporate and commercial problem loans and determines effective strategies (restructurings, forbearances, bankruptcies, etc.).
• Negotiates repayment agreements with borrowers and monitors adherence to terms.
• Manages bilateral and syndicated credits; coordinates workout strategies with lenders and stakeholders; may serve as Agent for syndicated facilities.
• Presents credits and action plans to Senior Management concisely; advises on early identification of deteriorating loans to minimize losses.
• Mentors junior workout professionals and stays informed on insolvency and creditor remedies.
