Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel for the Global Supply Chain to join our Legal team in a hybrid role.

You will draft and negotiate procurement contracts, advise on compliance, ESG, and EHS matters, and help drive supplier relationships across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires a JD and substantial experience in commercial contracts, with strong collaboration across functions and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in at least one state.
• Approximately 7–12 years of relevant legal experience in law firm or in-house roles.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, especially procurement/supply chain.
• Working knowledge of global supply chain legal issues including EHS, trade, and ESG.
• Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating advice across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and strategic legal support to the Global Supply Chain function.
• Draft, review, and negotiate procurement and supply chain contracts; advise on EHS matters.
• Help manage supplier disputes and develop policies, procedures, and training on global supply chain compliance and ESG.
• Draft templates, playbooks, and review processes to improve efficiency and risk management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sourcing strategies and supplier onboarding.
