Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in New Britain, CT is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Global Supply Chain to join our hybrid Legal team. You will provide day-to-day and strategic legal support to the global supply chain function, and help draft, review, and negotiate procurement and supply chain contracts.

This role requires a J.D., admission in at least one state, and about 7–12 years of experience with contracts, EHS, trade compliance, and cross-border transactions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted into practice in at least one state.
• Approximately 7-12 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably including procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, services, technology, facilities, or real estate-related agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and strategic legal support to the Global Supply Chain function.
• Draft, review, and negotiate procurement and supply chain contracts.
• Advise on environmental, health, and safety matters and supplier disputes.
• Develop, maintain, and improve contract templates, playbooks, and training materials.
• Provide training on legal issues relating to procurement processes and policies.
