Job summary

Meritum Energy Holdings seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to deliver legal support across the organization, focusing on commercial contracts and managing auto/general liability and workers’ compensation claims across multiple states.

The role drafts and negotiates master agreements, directs outside counsel, and partners with Risk Management, Safety, and Operations to minimize legal and financial exposure. Strong negotiation and contract strategy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with an active Texas license.
• 5–8 years of relevant legal experience in commercial contracts and insurance defense/litigation.
• Energy, transportation, or trucking industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, transportation agreements, and energy/service contracts.
• Manage outside counsel, TPAs, and insurance carriers on litigation and claims.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Safety, and Operations to reduce exposure.
