The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, is an effective negotiator, and can advise cross-functional teams while protecting the company's interests in energy and cross-border transactions.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license and in good standing.
• J.D. degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of substantial experience in commercial contracts and business transactions.
• Ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Strong hands-on contract negotiation experience with customers, suppliers, or other counterparties.
• Ability to manage routine contract matters independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Lead contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Identify and assess legal and commercial risks; provide practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, operations, engineering, and finance to support business decisions.
• Manage contract lifecycle and contribute to template development and processes.
