Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function for a $150M revenue, PE-backed industrial services business operating across 30 branches. You will own close, reporting, controls, tax compliance, and audit activities, while guiding a team of eight across accounting, AP, AR, and payroll.

This hands-on leadership role requires building scalable systems, driving technology transformations, and partnering with the CFO and FP&A to deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or equivalent role.
• Experience leading a multi-location accounting team (AP, AR, payroll).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-state sales tax compliance and private equity environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process end-to-end and deliver GAAP-compliant financials.
• Lead preparation of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with FP&A to load actuals and explain variances in sponsor reporting.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and standardize COA across 30 locations.
• Drive internal controls, policy documentation, and process improvements.
• Champion automation and ERP enhancements for tax, AP/AR, and treasury.
