Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting for a $150M revenue, private equity‑backed industrial services business with 30 branch locations.

You will own the general ledger, close process, financial reporting, internal controls, sales tax compliance, and audit activity, while guiding a team of eight across accounting functions. You will partner with the CFO and FP&A to deliver timely, accurate statements and management reporting for the PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years as Controller or Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process end-to-end and deliver GAAP-compliant statements to the CFO.
• Lead multi‑state sales tax compliance across 30 locations and oversee tax automation initiatives.
• Design and maintain robust internal controls for a 30-branch structure.
• Project-manage automation initiatives in tax, AP/AR, and treasury management.
• Oversee AP/AR/payroll functions and drive timely processing and reconciliations.
• Lead and develop a team of 8 accounting professionals; hands-on when needed.
• Manage treasury, cash positioning, and working capital planning.
