Job summary

Confidential Executive Search is seeking a Corporate Accounting Controller for a PE-backed, multi-location organization in a highly regulated industry. Based near Orlando, this on-site leadership role reports to the CFO and leads the accounting function to scale the finance organization.

This role will strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, finance systems, and accounting processes while partnering with executive leadership to support strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred) required or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years leading an accounting organization as Controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing annual audits and working with external auditors.
• Demonstrated success strengthening accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience developing and leading accounting teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations and maintain GAAP-compliant records.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review financial statements and schedules before CFO review.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reporting for leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with Finance to align budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Support executives with financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
