Job summary

Alliance Resource Group, partnering with a high-growth hard tech company, seeks a Senior Manager of Accounting to own close, GL, and control environment. You will lead the team, drive process improvements, and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.

Responsibilities include managing fixed assets, policy design, and system implementations, while mentoring staff and serving as a finance partner across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
• 8+ years of accounting with close ownership and reporting.
• 3+ years of people management and team building.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and technical accounting ability.
• Experience in capital-intensive manufacturing environments preferred.
• Startup/high-growth experience and ability to operate with ambiguity.
• Experience with ERP implementations and investor reporting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead full month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and reporting segments.
• Oversee fixed assets, construction-in-progress, capitalization policy, depreciation.
• Document technical accounting positions for audits (ASC 718, 842, 606).
• Produce internal leadership/investor reporting; support year-end with auditors.
• Design/update accounting policies, controls, and process narratives.
• Lead or support finance systems implementations and automation projects.
• Hire, manage, mentor accounting team and partner with non-finance groups.
