Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Core Laboratory Manager to lead a multidiscipline team within a major academic center. The role focuses on efficient management of pre-analytical workflows, chemistry, hematology, flow cytometry, and POCT, with emphasis on quality and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree- in a clinical laboratory sciences field.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
• 5+ years management experience in a clinical laboratory setting required
• Experience in management of complex, automated testing systems

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with Medical Directors, manage and oversee laboratory services across pre-analytical central processing, clinical chemistry, hematology, flow cytometry and point-of-care testing.
• Develop and maintain quality, regulatory, and safety programs to meet CLIA, CAP, JCAHO and related standards.
• Provide education and professional development for staff and collaborate with Baystate laboratories across the system.
