Job summary

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ only academic center and tertiary care provider, seeks a Laboratory Quality and Phlebotomy Manager to lead the QA program and oversee regulatory compliance across the system. This role drives improvements in quality metrics, standardizes processes, and coordinates inspections with CAP, AABB, and Joint Commission.

The position partners with lab leadership to implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, manage budgets, and support patient safety and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CLS or equivalent.
• 3+ years of management experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with quality management concepts and Lean-Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual operating budget across assigned areas.
• Supervise staff, handle performance evaluations, hiring and discipline.
• Maintain accreditation with JC, CAP, AABB, CLIA and state regs.
• Lead quality program, QA dashboard, and incident management.
