Job summary

The role requires MLS certification, a biology/chemistry-based degree, and 3–5 years of clinical chemistry/hematology experience with 2+ years in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science required.
• MLS certification by ASCP or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of clinical chemistry and/or hematology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides scientific and technical oversight for laboratory operations.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and promotes performance improvement activities.
• Manages department staff, budgets, and equipment and supplies.
• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
• Maintains current knowledge of specialty through seminars and journals.
• Performs other job-related duties.
