Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification; minimum three years editorial experience and two years educational assessment.
• Strong end-to-end copyediting: spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, diction, and usage.
• Familiar with major style guides (Chicago Manual of Style, Gregg Reference Manual, Garner’s Modern English Usage).

Responsibilities

• Apply grammar, spelling, usage and style per standards across components.
• Ensure uniformity and consistency; identify errors and minimize mistakes.
• Query deviations from client style; may modify client style guidelines as needed.
• Lead editor when assigned; coordinate with Content, Program Teams and other departments.
• Seek learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and knowledge of style guides.
