Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ educational assessment experience.
• Strong copyediting proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and usage.
• Familiarity with major style guides (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, Gregg Reference Manual, Garner’s).

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per department and client standards.
• Maintains uniformity and consistency across assessment components and identifies errors.
• Adheres to client style guidelines and asks questions when deviations are needed for best outcomes.
• Understands editor scope and flags concerns when needed.
• Seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and stay current with style guides.
