The role emphasizes hands‑on prototyping, collaboration with design leadership, and an ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering customer‑centric experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front‑end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience.
• Online portfolio with coding or prototyping samples demonstrating conversational AI work.
• Hands‑on experience prototyping with and designing for LLM‑powered products.
• Experience shaping AI systems, including writing system instructions and prompts and building evaluations.
• Experience building functional prototypes with front‑end technologies or AI prototyping tools or AWS Bedrock.

Responsibilities

• Build high‑quality, functional prototypes that convey and advance the vision of future conversational experiences.
• Translate human conversational needs into AI interaction behaviors, balancing a natural and trustworthy voice.
• Shape model behavior by writing and refining system instructions and prompts, building goldens and platinums, and partnering on reinforcement learning and evaluations.
• Design and build for repair and recovery, handling ambiguity, misunderstanding, hallucination, and graceful failure.
• Define conversational quality metrics and apply them to measurably improve the experience, including building LLM‑as‑a‑judge evaluations.
• Prototype across voice, text, visual, and ambient (multimodal) surfaces, using the best and most appropriate tools for the task.
• Collaborate with design leadership and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, and work alongside designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to drive concepts from idea to implementation.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced, iterative environment with ambiguous challenges and brand new customer experiences.
