Qualifications

• Experience: Typically 2 to 5+ years of experience in hotel convention sales, catering, event planning, or guest services.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred (though equivalent hands-on experience is widely accepted).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management/catering software.

Responsibilities

• Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for event organizers from the post-sale turnover through the live event and post-event review.
• Event Documentation: Create, update, and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, event schedules, and room diagrams.
• Department Coordination: Work closely with Banquets, Culinary, Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and Audio-Visual teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Space & Block Management: Oversee guest room blocks, rooming lists, pickup counts, cut-off dates, and meeting-room setups (e.g., theatre, classroom, cabaret).
• On-Site Management: Lead pre-conference meetings, oversee daily event logistics, troubleshoot issues in real time, and conduct walkthroughs.
• Revenue & Upselling: Identify opportunities to increase hotel revenue through upgraded menus, enhanced decor, audio-visual additions, or space extensions while tracking food and beverage minimums.
• Post-Event Review: Review final bills and billing accuracy with accounting, handle attrition/cancellation evaluations, and conduct post-event feedback sessions.
