Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Airport in Orlando, FL is seeking a Convention Services Manager to drive food and beverage revenue by soliciting, booking, and planning events. You will oversee client relations, menus, room layouts, and BEOs to ensure flawless execution.

The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, flexibility with evenings/weekends, and the ability to collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or Business, or 2+ years of hotel sales, catering, or event management.
• Exceptional communication, persuasive negotiation, and strong problem-solving skills, especially for last-minute changes.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Revenue Generation: prospect new corporate and social accounts, handle leads, and negotiate event contracts to meet revenue goals.
• Event Planning & Detailing: guide clients through menu selection, room layouts, and vendor coordination; create accurate BEOs.
• Client Relations: conduct site visits, tastings, and meetings to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Operations Liaison: work with executive chef, culinary team, and banquet staff for flawless event execution.
• Administrative Forecasting: maintain client databases in CRM for forecasts and billing.
