Job summary

Essenti Talent in the southwest suburban Atlanta area is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a day shift 7:00am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri. You will participate in cell design, integrate controls, and install automated equipment, building and programming PLC panels to get systems running.

You will troubleshoot, configure, test, and maintain controls and automated systems, using pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and robot controllers while working with engineers and production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience in controls
• PLC programming with context clues in PLC programs
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and stress testing windings
• Identifying data plate specs for components like contactors/soft starters/VFDs
• Familiarity with sensors (PNP/NPN, loop-powered, dry contact)
• Analog control familiarity (4-20mA, 0-10V)
• Ladder logic troubleshooting
• Panel building and electrical experience
• Some robotic experience
• Safety circuit integration
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and PLC systems
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers
• Operate or oversee equipment and maintain processes
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine upgrades
• Repair machine controls, systems and tools as needed
• Disassemble/re-assemble equipment to replace parts
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment
• Collaborate with engineers and production team to achieve outputs
• Identify critical information from motors data sheets for specing components
