Job summary

The southwest suburban Atlanta area-based company is seeking a Controls Technician for a day shift (7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday). You will participate in cell design, integrate controls, and install automated equipment; you will build PLC panels, program them, and bring systems up and running.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC systems, wiring a 9-lead motor, panel building, and maintaining and repairing control systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience in controls or automation.
• PLC programming experience and ability to read PLC context clues.
• Wiring and testing of motor control components and drives.
• Familiarity with sensors (PNP/NPN, loop-powered, dry contact) and analog signals (4-20mA, 0-10V).
• Panel building and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Build PLC panels and program systems to run on startup.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems; maintain and repair controls.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment to replace defective parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
