Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a seasoned Controls Technician for a day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta area. You will participate in cell design, integrate controls and install automated equipment, build PLC panels and program them, and get systems up and running.

The role requires deep PLC programming, panel building, and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, plus robotics exposure and safety circuit work.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming experience with ability to interpret PLC logic and diagrams.
• Able to program a machine process from scratch.
• Able to wire a 9-lead motor and stress test windings.
• Identify critical info from motor data plates for specing components.
• Familiarity with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting.
• Panel building and electrical system experience.
• Some robotic experience and safety circuit integration.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, or repair PLC and robot controllers.
• Build PLC panels and program them to run automated equipment.
• Configure, test, operate, maintain, service, and troubleshoot controls and automated systems.
• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using a computer.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and pneumatics.
• Work with engineers to achieve production targets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Repair machine controls and replace defective parts as needed.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
