Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta area.

The role involves designing cells, integrating controls, and installing automated equipment, building and programming PLC panels, and getting systems up and running. You will troubleshoot PLCs, perform preventative maintenance, and work with engineers and production teams to meet output goals.

Qualifications

• Described as a highly experienced role requiring a strong PLC and controls background.
• Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics is expected.
• Breadth of electrical experience and ladder logic troubleshooting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing valves, accumulators, cylinders and valves.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use knowledge of fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate the equipment or oversee its operation.
• Analyze and categorize events within the equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to achieve outputs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades and inspections.
• Repair machine controls, systems, and tools as needed.
• Disassemble or re-assemble equipment to replace parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
