Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta area. You will build PLC panels, program controllers, and commission automated equipment, while supporting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities include PLC troubleshooting, wiring 9-lead motors, sensor integration, ladder logic, and panel building. Requires 6+ years' related experience and legal work authorization in the USA.

Qualifications

• Desire at least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming with ability to interpret PLC logic.
• Able to program a machine process from scratch.
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and stress testing windings.
• Identify data from motor nameplates for components.
• Familiar with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting and panel building.
• Electrical experience and some robotics exposure.
• Safety circuit integration and authorization to work in USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics (pneumatics).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with valves, cylinders, and controls.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use fabrication equipment knowledge to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate or oversee equipment; analyze events within equipment.
• Work with engineers and production to achieve output goals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine upgrades.
• Repair machine controls, systems, and tools as needed.
• Disassemble/re-assemble equipment to replace defective parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
