Job summary

E. & J. Gallo Winery is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to keep plant operations safe, reliable, and efficient.

You will maintain, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems with minimal supervision, applying PLC/HMI knowledge to diagnose issues and protect product quality. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot using PLCs, HMIs, and electrical test equipment, and participate in PLC code changes with

Qualifications

2 years technical degree in electrical technology plus 1 year of experience with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment; OR High school diploma plus 3 years of experience with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders; work at heights.
Knowledgeable of Electrical Safety procedures.
May work rotating shift (e.g., day, swing, graveyard) and overtime.
Strong reading, comprehension, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain, install, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment.
Replace failed electrical components and download/upload PLC & HMI data.
Perform PLC code changes with guidance from senior technicians.
Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to improve asset uptime and product quality.
