Job summary

E. & J. Gallo Winery is hiring an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems. You will diagnose issues with PLCs, HMIs, and associated equipment, while supporting uptime, quality, and safety.

Work with Operations, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams to implement PLC code changes and improvements, with opportunities to contribute to capital projects and new product launches on-site.

Qualifications

• 2 years technical degree in electrical technology plus 1 year of PLC experience; OR HS diploma plus 3 years PLC experience.
• Climb stairs and ladders; work at heights.
• Knowledgeable of Electrical Safety procedures.
• Rotating shift coverage possible (e.g., day, swing, graveyard) including weekends/overtime.
• Ability to read, comprehend, interpret and execute simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence; arithmetic with whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Diagnose issues using PLCs, HMIs, and electrical test equipment.
• Download/upload PLC/HMI data and implement code changes with guidance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to improve asset uptime and product quality.
• Contribute improvement ideas and communicate status of work clearly.
• Support capital projects and bring new products to life.
