Job summary

S. Martinelli & Company is seeking a Class 1A Controls Technician & Programmer in Watsonville, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing electrical control systems across production lines, including bottling and filter departments.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motion controls, and SCADA to ensure reliable operation. Ideal candidates have at least five years of automation experience and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Five years of experience with industrial automation in manufacturing.
Proficient with PLCs and HMI systems; experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens or vendor platforms.
Familiarity with SCADA, network protocols, and industrial safety standards UL/CE.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain production electrical controls and OT network devices to maximize OEE.
Assist operation and maintenance of PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Design, modify, and implement control system changes and HMIs.
Lead projects for panel design, programming, and interface development.
Maintain digital documentation of control systems and drawings.
