Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Controls Technician III in Romeoville, IL to maintain and enhance automated distribution center equipment. The role involves designing and diagnosing MHE control systems, PLC programming, and hands-on repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

The position requires a strong electrical background, CAD literacy, and the ability to lead or assist a maintenance team. A Sunday-Thursday shift with a 4:00pm–12:30am window and a $2,500 sign-on bonus are included.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in electrical/electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or facilities/plant management.
• Typically four years of related experience with strong electrical background.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair MHE control systems in an automated distribution center.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues in facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage CMMS/EAM system for repairs.
• Lead maintenance team and coordinate system upgrades or modifications.
• Design and implement control system solutions for small to mid-size MHE systems.
