Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Controls Technician III in Romeoville, IL, to support automated distribution center equipment. The role involves design, installation, and troubleshooting of MHE control systems, PLCs, and related sensors under supervision of the Systems Manager.

Requires a strong electrical background, CAD/ schematic literacy, and experience with PLCs and HMI. A 4-year-related degree and 4 years of experience are preferred; a sign-on bonus applies.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering or facilities/plant management preferred.
• Four years of related experience with strong electrical background.
• Ability to read CAD layouts, IP diagrams, electrical schematics and PLC logic.

Responsibilities

• Support the automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center.
• Design, install, repair, and diagnose MHE controls systems and PLCs.
• Create complete control systems for small to medium MHE systems including PLCs, remote I/O and sensors.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues; maintain CMMS/EAM records.
