Job summary

Cencora is seeking a maintenance technician to support our distribution services in the US. The role involves maintaining and upgrading materials handling equipment and automated picking systems at our distribution center, with a focus on electrical and PLC-based controls.

The position requires strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, experience with PLCs, CAD diagrams, and MHE software, plus the ability to read schematics and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires some technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Normally requires at least two (2) years related and progressively responsible experience; strong electrical background preferred.
• Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
• Diagnoses Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related error conditions and repairs.
• Oversees maintenance, modifications, and system upgrades of MHE and automated picking system controls.
• Assesses efficiency of materials handling equipment and defines necessary modifications.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to maintain productivity in warehouse operations.
• Maintains CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment.
• Manages inventory of spare parts.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet productivity goals.
