Job summary

Körber Supply Chain Group in Irving, Texas is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead a team and oversee control system designs for material handling systems. You will program, deploy, and commission PLC code, and develop graphical user interfaces for our solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering and 7+ years in the material handling field, with hands-on experience in Rockwell GuardLogix and Siemens TIA Portal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in material handling or similar industry (master’s may substitute with 5+ years).
• Experience programming Rockwell GuardLogix PLCs and Siemens TIA Portal PLCs.
• Experience with EtherNet/IP network architecture and HMI programming.
• Proven leadership of controls engineering teams on large projects.
• Ability to manage staffing, timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system designs and program/commission PLC code for material handling systems.
• Create graphical user interfaces for control systems.
• Test, emulate, and validate software before on-site deployment; conduct system tests.
• Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical equipment during installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering to define control network architecture and device requirements.
• Review customer standards and specifications to validate system requirements.
• Assist with project estimates, staffing and scheduling.
• Travel up to 40% as required.
