Martinrea is seeking a Sr. Controls Engineer to design, configure, and deploy Ignition-based SCADA systems in automotive manufacturing. You will define corporate standards, coordinate with plant teams, and manage 3rd party integrators to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years in manufacturing/automation, experience with Python, REACT, FastAPI, MQTT, and strong PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley and Siemens). Occasional travel to plants is expected.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/automation.
• Experience with Python, REACT, FastAPI, MQTT will be an asset.
• Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC experience.
• Robot programming experience (Preferable Fanuc).
• Database development and management experience.
• Process engineering knowledge or experience.
• Project management experience.
• IT networking infrastructure knowledge.
• IoT devices experience.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG).
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Develop Corporate Standards and design criteria for projects.
• Provide expertise on large-scale SCADA integration using Ignition.
• Contract and manage 3rd party integrators for SCADA deployments.
• Troubleshoot scripts, SQL queries, OPC and network issues.
• Coordinate tasks with multiple engineering teams and IT systems.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and urgency.
• Review PLC code to improve data transmission to SCADA.
• Design and integrate Andon Vision and Perspective Screens.
