Job summary

Wayfair in Helena, MT, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement industrial control software for live manufacturing. You will develop SCADA systems using Ignition, write advanced PLC logic, and create Python code to support automation projects across multiple plant lines.

The role requires extensive experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment, and a strong understanding of warehouse control systems and automation safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering/applications and manufacturing control systems.
• Experience with Python/Java/C# and automation projects.
• Strong background in warehouse control and conveyance systems.
• Experience with Ignition V8.X or newer preferred.
• Ability to read tech docs and perform ROI analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop SCADA systems using Ignition 8.x for manufacturing.
• Write advanced PLC/percent programming logic for live lines.
• Create Python code and validate AOIs for conveyors.
• Integrate WCS/WMS interfaces and IT networks.
• Support remote manufacturing operations and ECR/ECA processes.
