Job summary

Dana Incorporated seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to design and support plant automation and control systems that ensure safe, efficient manufacturing operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, program Rockwell PLCs and Fanuc/ABB robots, and drive continuous improvement in quality and equipment performance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, safety improvements, and implementing error-proofing and vision-system integrations to support new launches and ongoing production

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of machine tending production processes.
• PLC troubleshooting knowledge (Rockwell), Fanuc and ABB robot programming knowledge.
• Must be a self-starter and possess initiative and able to work with limited supervision.
• Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Continue professional growth and knowledge through ongoing training and education.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional team on automation and controls-related projects.
• Program Rockwell PLCs, Fanuc robots and related equipment to support new launches and process improvements.
• Support operations and maintenance through troubleshooting and assist in assembly line recovery.
• Implement quality improvement projects through error proofing, interlocks and vision system integration.
• Lead machine guarding initiatives and safety improvements.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
