Job summary

Advanced Process Solutions LLC seeks a Controls Engineer to program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC-based systems across service and production operations in Texas. The role partners with production and field teams to keep equipment running reliably and enable new installations.

Responsibilities include designing PLC logic and HMI/SCADA, maintaining electrical schematics, and supporting process improvements. Occasional travel up to 20% for Fab commissioning and field maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and hands-on PLC experience with Allen‑Bradley.
Proficient with ControlLogix/CompactLogix; ladder logic and structured text.
Experience developing/configuring HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk View) and SCADA.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings; knowledge of motor controls and VFDs.
Willingness to travel up to 20% to service/field sites and support production.

Responsibilities

Program, configure, and maintain PLC-based control systems (Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell).
Troubleshoot and resolve faults to minimize downtime and speed repairs.
Design, modify, and test PLC logic, HMI screens, and SCADA applications for new installs and improvements.
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, controls docs, and SOPs.
Collaborate with production, service, and engineering to commission new controls.
Travel up to 20% for field work and plant commissioning
Provide in-house training on control system operation and basic troubleshooting.
