Job summary

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions. We are seeking a Sr Controls Engineer to join our North America Corporate Engineering Group; location can be at any US plant with up to 50% travel to North America Plants.

Responsibilities include designing and improving controls systems, integrating networking and OCR/barcode solutions, and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
5–7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer preferred.
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI systems preferred.
Industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, RS-232, Devicenet, DH+ are desired.

Responsibilities

Design and improve controls systems (robotics, PLC logic, electrical distribution, motor and motion controls, HMI, hydraulics and pneumatics, vision).
Integrate machine networking for remote access, monitoring, data storage and traceability.
Work with OEMs to ensure equipment meets Auria safety and controls standards.
Integrate barcode/OCR systems into equipment and tooling.
Coordinate with management, engineering and maintenance to implement upgrades.
Self-educate on new devices and controls technologies.
Manage timelines and costs for projects.
Identify critical spare parts for new/current equipment.
Mentor and train plant controls engineers.
Other duties as assigned.
