Job summary

Auria is a leading global supplier of engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical and other fiber-based solutions. The Sr Controls Engineer will join the North America Corporate Engineering Group and may be based at any Auria plant in the United States, with up to 50% travel to North America plants.

The role requires expertise in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI, robotics, and industrial controls, plus the ability to mentor plant teams and drive cross-location projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI systems.
• Industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, RS-232, DeviceNet, DH+.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve controls systems including robotics, PLC logic, electrical distribution, motor and motion controls, HMI, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vision systems.
• Integrate machine and plant networking for remote access, monitoring, data storage and traceability.
• Ensure equipment design aligns with Auria and local safety and control standards.
• Coordinate with management, engineering and maintenance for successful upgrades.
• Mentor and train plant controls engineers and manage project timelines and costs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

5-7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer
