Job summary

Auria seeks a Sr Controls Engineer to join its North America Corporate Engineering Group. The role can be located at any Auria plant in the United States and may require up to 50% travel to North America plants.

You will design, update and improve controls systems, integrating Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and networking to enable remote access and traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI systems.
• Industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, RS-232, Devicenet, DH+.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, and continuously improve controls systems including robotics, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, motion controls, operator interfaces, hydraulics and pneumatics controls, and vision systems.
• Integrate machine and plant networking solutions to provide remote access to equipment, equipment monitoring and data storage, and Poke-Yoke traceability
• Able to work with OEMs to guarantee new equipment is designed and built to Auria’s and national & local authority’s safety and controls standards
• Integrate various barcode reading and OCR systems into various equipment and secondary tooling
• Coordinate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of management, engineering, maintenance, etc to ensure new equipment and upgrades are implemented in the best possible means
• Candidate is expected to teach themselves functionality of new devices and controls systems as technology advances and equipment is updated
• Manage timelines and costs with each project
• Assist in identifying critical spares on new and current equipment.
• Mentor and train plant controls engineers where applicable.
